Aprons are just as practical to wear today for any home based projects, as those from years past.  Renewed interest in handcrafted goods, you will find a variety of aprons to choose from. The apron’s edge can dry a child’s tear or the sweat of a brow. It also holds apples picked fresh from the tree. Those pockets on the apron hold many treasures like recipes, mailbox greetings, or wildflowers. I still have my apron that Aunt Alma made for me long ago. I want to continue the legacy of my aunt and her aprons. She was always thrifty and never wasteful so these aprons can be made from leftover materials from other loving projects, and repurposed items, and even items that hold sentimental memories. They can be a certain theme, colorful, and even whimsical. My Aunt Alma always had a smile and a kind word for everyone - the secret ingredient in her handmade gifts?

I make each and every apron with that legacy in mind. They are created from upcycled fabrics, blended with new, as a remix to give you that one of a kind apron that you can proudly wear. My home is in Cogan Station, PA with my faithful sewing machine creating each apron as unique as my Aunt Alma. I will always have at least a pocket on each one of the aprons, and it can hold whatever treasure you find!

FAQ

1. How are the aprons made?  Each apron is handmade by me using materials that are repurposed from gently used items, unused materials from other sewing projects, and new fabric prints.   
2. What is the cost of these aprons?  The cost is affordable and based on the design of the apron and what materials are used.  Check out the Etsy shop for your purchase. 
3. What features make your aprons special?  Each apron will have a tag that says, “Alma’s Aprons” and can be found in different locations on the garment, depending on the design.  I will always have a pocket sewn on the apron somewhere, this feature makes it more useful to carry what you need at your convenience. Utilizing gently used materials and unused fabrics from other projects, the apron will be pretty, stylish and functional. And this process will save the fabrics from being wasted or in the landfill.
4. Are you making more aprons to add to the Etsy shop?  I am hard at work to make more aprons for the upcoming seasons and the holidays.  Check back frequently and see the new additions.  The aprons and other home care items will be ready to ship, and I will send you a message that it was shipped in 1-3 days after the order is placed.
